Ok, I got it
Hi, My name is Russ Harvey and was diagnosed in 98' although i started having problems in 96'.
First it was slight blurred vision in one eye which did'nt help me at all riding a m/cycle. People would call me a fitness freak which is understandable because that's what i was ..lol.
Running and swimming were my hobbies and working as a plumber. All that was about to change for the worse, then it was numbness on the skin and weakness in the legs.
Still i manged to complete yet another great north run but i knew something was wrong, it took all my will power to get through the next year or so.
Reluctantly i went to see the Dr. who referred me to a neuroligist who then give me the customary tests (bloods,VEP,LP and   MRI scan) which i knew was going to be MS.
Still was a bit of a shock when your told i had Multiple Sclerosis especially the way it was given to me by an S.H.O. who promtly said "don't be too down about it afterall it's apple crumble for tea" .........what !
So iv'e been fighting this ever since but still put me in a chair but thats all .
I can do everything else even stand for long periods and fatigue is ok because i don't let it get to me at all.
So i'm here and still fighting my corner and helped by a lot of you on this website which Maz and I were lucky enough to start up.
MS is a small part of my life as all of you should feel it is , not the end or even the beginning of the end so lets all be positive about our illness .
I hope this site goes a little way in doing just that.

Russ.
